Marked by radiant gold scales streaked with ember-red and obsidian, these elusive apex predators are believed to produce the legendary Sunstone Eggs: rare mineralized clutches said to hold immense alchemical and mystical value. Kingdoms, warlords, and treasure hunters alike have slaughtered entire expeditions pursuing even rumors of a nest. The Solbrood are ancient, intelligent hunters with an almost unnatural awareness of intruders near their brood grounds. Survivors speak of silent forests falling still before a devastating ambush from the underbrush. Most who search for one die without ever catching a glimpse, and those who do return are rarely willing to say what they saw.
