Not every figure available for purchase is already scheduled for production.
When we say a figure is available through a PREORDER, we are collecting orders before final production quantities are determined. Those orders help us understand demand and decide how many figures should be forged.
In Plain English...
PREORDER first. Production follows. A preorder isn't inventory waiting in a warehouse. It's collectors helping shape the size of the run.
Not every figure that isn't in our warehouse is still waiting to be made. When we say a figure is available through a PRESALE, we mean production is complete and inventory has already been ordered. The figures are on their way. You're simply reserving your piece of the shipment before it arrives.
In Plain English...
Already made. Not in hand yet. A PRESALE isn't a promise to create a figure. It's your chance to claim one before it reaches the warehouse.
Not every figure marked SOLD OUT has reached the end of its story. When we say a figure is SOLD OUT, we mean the inventory currently available through that sales channel has been claimed. That doesn't always mean every figure is gone forever. Additional inventory may still exist through retailers, convention stock, distributor allocations, or other remaining channels.
In Plain English...
Gone for now. Not necessarily gone forever. A SOLD OUT label means the current supply is exhausted and not that the legend has ended.
Not every figure that disappears from the store is merely sold out. When we say a figure is ENTOMBED, all inventory has been sold, allocated, or claimed. No reissues. No restocks. No additional production planned.
In Plain English...
Gone forever. The journey is complete. An ENTOMBED figure has passed from our hands into the collections of those who claimed it. Its story continues with the collectors who carry its legend forward.
